IT’S BACK!

Sand in the City^®returns for its eighth year, June 3 – 5, 2011. Once again, corporate and community group teams will get down and dirty for a great cause, and of course the chance to take home the coveted "People's Choice" Award.

Teams participating in Sand in the City^® are in for a fun, one-of-a-kind experience. This event is much more than your typical fun run or golf outing. Coming together as a sand sculpting team:

• Encourages employee teamwork and problem solving skills
• Strengthens creativity and “Out of the Box” thinking
• Enhances a sense of Organizational Pride
• Helps raise funds that benefit the programs and services of Nebraska Children's Home Society www.nchs.org.

Goal:

To raise awareness and funds for Nebraska Children's Home Society who provide safe and loving care to children of all ages through statewide Pregnancy & Parenting, Adoption, Foster Care, Community & Neighborhood Based Services and Early Childhood Programs.

Who:

Corporate and community group teams work with professional sand sculptors from across the country and local architects/engineers to build incredible sand sculptures. Family Fun Days are open to the public to view the finished sand sculptures and enjoy a festival like atmosphere all weekend long.
